STRESS comes with the territory of living, right? Work stress can be a big problem, though. And many workers spend 25% or more of their lives at work! According to the American Institute of Stress, in a study done of 751 workers over the age of 18, 82% of workers report that they are at least a little stressed at work. That’s significant!
Stress can cause physical illness, low mood, and physical pain. Working at a desk for prolonged periods often results in lower back pain from sitting still, or upper back, shoulder and neck pain from hunching over a computer keyboard, and let’s not forget about repetitive motion injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, which are common among office workers.
A study done by the Touch Research Institute in Miami, Florida, showed that the benefits of chair massage have quick results. Immediately after massage sessions, subjects experienced a change in brain waves in the direction of heightened alertness and better performance on math problems, which were completed in less time with fewer errors.
In addition to the usual benefits of massage, such as relief of muscular tension, revitalized energy, and a stronger immune system, at the end of the five week study, participants reported reduced job stress and elevated mood.

What is chair massage?
Your employees will be seated upright on a special massage chair and will remain fully clothed. No oils are used, so there is no need for them to be concerned about stains on clothing. The session generally lasts from ten to twenty minutes. The chair is lightweight and portable, enabling it to be set up in virtually any office or break room.

All tools, equipment, and sanitation products required for the massage services.
15 minutes setup and 15 minutes breakdown time, which are not included in the contracted time.
Clothed chair massage services by a licensed and insured massage therapist for the contracted time, including therapist breaks. Therapist breaks are as follows:
Less than 3.5 hour contract = no break needed
3.5 – 5 hour contract = 20 minute break around halfway through
5.5/6 hour contract = two 15 minute breaks taken every two hours.

An abbreviated intake form for each client to collect contact information and health history to identify the individual’s pain points and ensure that receiving massage is safe for them.
A coupon for $10 off your first session at my studio for each staff member, whether they receive a chair massage or not. These are transferable.

how many massages does that include?
That is totally customizable and I can help you figure it out! We can start with the number of employees you want to receive a massage, with the session length you want each employee to have, or with your budget.
To assist in calculations, know that there can be six 10-minute massages, four 15-minute massages, or three 20-minute massages per hour. Note that these times include the minute or two for intake and summary/review discussions for each client, as well as time required to sanitize the chair in between clients.
on-site/corporate chair massage rates
$85.00 per therapist per hour onsite, with a minimum of two hours and a maximum of six hours per day. Additionally, there is a travel fee of $35 per therapist.
A deposit of 50% of the fee is due at booking with the remainder due on the day of service.
A minimum of 3 days’ notice is required to cancel the event without charge. If you cancel or re-schedule within 3 days of the event, you will be required to pay a cancellation fee of $100 per therapist or 25% of the full event fee, whichever is greater. If you cancel within 24 hours of the event, you will forfeit your deposit.
